Agency support for trade transactions

TENIR TRADE may act as an agent of a corporate client when arranging procurement and settlements with suppliers and exporters.

Agency work is carried out exclusively within a specific trade transaction and on the basis of a written instruction from the client.

What an instruction can include
  • identifying or approving a supplier
  • obtaining commercial terms
  • organising the procurement of goods
  • executing settlement with the agreed supplier
  • communicating with the producer, procurer or exporter
  • receiving supporting documents
  • coordinating shipment preparation
How it is formalised

An agency agreement is concluded between TENIR TRADE and the principal.

A separate instruction is issued for each transaction specifying the goods, supplier, amount, currency, payment basis and execution terms.

Funds for executing the instruction and the agency fee may be transferred separately.

Settlements with regional suppliers

In certain transactions, a direct payment to a farmer, small producer or regional supplier may be difficult due to local banking arrangements, settlement currency or the supplier's use of an authorised procurer or exporter.

In such cases, TENIR TRADE may engage an independent trading or payment agent acting under an agreement and a transaction-specific instruction.

After execution, the agent provides documents confirming that the settlement was made.

Important

TENIR TRADE is not a bank, payment system or money transfer provider. The company does not carry out money transfers for individuals or an unlimited range of clients. All settlements are directly connected with documented trade transactions.
